Taylor Family Stories
Our Taylors are dutifully noted back to the Revolutionary War, but the exact point where the trail runs cold is unclear. We obviously descended from any number and thread of Taylors back in England.
This history starts with the work of Joshua Eugene Taylor (1909-2006), who initiated a family genealogy project in his retirement years. And as with good genealogies, the chronologies and lineages are but part of the story: the actual biographies, told through text, maps and pictures, yield a fascinating and rich arc, sometimes with meaning and sometimes not, hinting at the mythic family tree. That's what we are going for, an emerging picture of who we are -- twisted limbs, gnarled burls, scarred bark and all.
Please post pictures, stories and thoughts about the extended Taylor clan.
