A History day

With a deadline approaching ( trip to Palmyra , Mo - June 4 ) and the desire to have a live link from www. JETaylor.info to a page on Shining Rock Blog, I have turned to updating the Gene Taylor biography this week . Today I had a delightful interview with Tom & Carol Sanders who were friends of Jo & Gene Taylor through bridge in Nashville , TN.

(Then in middle of the afternoon , Drew & Caroline came to visit , and when Boot arrived to get them , I took a picture)

Here are a couple of funny stories ..
."Tom , saying that Jo was famous for “doing crazy things” passed the phone to Carol , who related a couple of funny incidents .

The first was a story about Jo , who after a having sherry with a friend at Richland Club, was leaving and turning onto West End and got into the middle of a funeral procession. Jo, not wishing to stay in the procession, turned right off West End , and to her surprise , the procession followed her ! Well , to solve this dilemma , she led the procession back to West End and continued leading the line of cars on to the cemetery .

In the second story, Jo was playing bridge at the bridge club , and had taken a break to use the restroom. She was a bit late coming back , and when chastised for being late she explained that she had watered the flowers . ( The flowers were artificial.)"

More later , Josh/Pops

Hmm, the computer has a personality after all. Not sure what [endif] means (a little atom of code, floating randomly into our blog?). Can't wait for more Drew Cameron updates, though. As anyone knows, we are WAY into babies. ;-)
